Hearts and Flowers

I don't make many valentines cards so I thought that the challenge over at Paper Play Challenges this week was perfect.  "Hearts and flowers but no valentine".  The card that I have made has both hearts and flowers, but as it currently has no sentiment, it is suitable for a wedding, engagement, valentine or just an I love you card.  I'm not sure what it will end up as yet.  I had wedding in mind when I started making it.

I started off with an A4 sheet of patterned card and created what I call a zigzag fold (there may be a proper name for it).  You can't see very well from these pictures, but I have coloured some of the hearts and swirls with a very delicate pink (the lightest pink copic I could find), I have also coloured parts of the heart of the peel off that I used and all of the flowers.

To finish the card off I have added strip of card that has the negative image of the main piece used to add some interest to the plain back.  I have also added gems, ribbon and a small silver heart charm on a chain to the main image.

I will also be entering this card for the challenges at Cute Card Thursday (Hearts and Flowers) and My Time To Craft (Hearts and Flowers)
